FAG and INA bearing designation indicates the type, dimensions, tolerances and internal clearance, and other important features. The designation are standardised in DIN 623-1, which include the Basic designation, Prefix, and Suffix. Please refer to FAG bearing designation system.
Prefix normally identifies individual Schaeffler bearing parts of complete bearings (in certain cases, this may also be part of the basic designation)
Suffix defines special designs and features. The prefix and suffix describe other features of the bearing but are not standardised in all cases and may vary in use depending on the manufacturer.
