Kaydon reali-slim capped bearings are intended for applications where bearings need to be clean and well lubricated.
Kaydon reali-slim capped bearings are available, as standard with an NBR contact seal on both sides, for two bearing types (type C and type X) in the following series,

Integral sealing can significantly prolong bearing service life because it keeps lubricant in Kaydon bearing and contaminants out. Kaydon Reali-Slim bearings are available with a contact seal or non-contact shield on one or both sides.
Contact seals
Kaydon reali-slim bearings with contact seals are preferred for arrangements where contamination is moderate and the presence of water or moisture cannot be ruled out. And the contact seals are fitted in the outer ring and make positive contact with the sliding surface on the inner ring of Kaydon bearings. The contact seals are made of sheet steel reinforced NBR as standard
Shields
Kaydon reali-slim bearings with shields are used where operating conditions are relatively clean, and low friction is important because of speed or operating temperature considerations. The shields are fitted in the outer ring and form a narrow gap with the inner ring, and are made of sheet steel.
Greases for Kaydon capped bearings
Kaydon capped bearings are factory-lubricated with a general-purpose grease. Operating conditions, such as temperature, speed or environment, may result in premature lubrication degradation. A variety of lubricants are available to meet various application conditions.
